A boy needs a strong male role model. Caz gave up on his father at a very early age and just sees his older brother as a doppleganger of their dad. So, for a long time now, he's been idolizing his uncle. And why not? The man was a respected government agent before being wounded on the job. Now he, quite conveniently, lives in the guest house. Sheldon is tough, dangerous, emotionally unavailable and hard as nails. He's everything Caz wishes he could be.

So, now, for probably the third time this month, the boy is invading his uncle's privacy. He picks the lock to enter Sheldon's home before knocking on the inside of the door to announce himself.

"Hey, Uncle Sheldon! You awake?"
